| If you want live music, this is the place to check first, as they occassionally have some fairly big names playing as well as local favourites. They were advertising "Dodgy", who I believe are a popular rock combo at the moment. But I did recall "The Vibrators" and "Half Man, Half Biscuit" from my youth. I'll bet it becomes rather hot and sweaty on busy nights though, with the lights, low ceiling and exuberant youth. Mind you, the night I was in there was a fair share of ancient hippies hanging around too, pretending they were liggers. It was a pot luck night, paying 50p at the door while the bands who had turned up gave it their all. I liked the idea of the old BT telephone box up the back where you can escape the noise to call a taxi. Which is what I did. | |||
