I'll try to be kind here. MacMillans is
not what I'd call a pub. At a pinch, it's a bar that's halfway to being
a nighclub and if you fancy a quiet drink and chat with your mates then
this is possibly the last place in York to choose. Think Eighties Fun
Pub. Think resident DJ's. Think Bacardi Breezers two for two quid. Think
bouncer city. Think girls with legs on upside down. Think boys with
shaved heads and Top Man shirts. Think falling out the place at midnight,
deaf. Think you had a bloody good time which you won't remember next
morning. Unless you intend to paint the town and your eyes red, then
think of going somewhere else.
