| A big pub that offers a big selection of beer, malt whiskies (I counted over thirty
different bottles behind the bar) cigars, and portions of food, judging by the amount of people eating there when
I popped in. Inside, it's one of those "country house" type interiors, with the wood panelling, red velvet
seats and wall lights that are a bit old fashioned these days. So it's unlikely to attract a younger crowd, but
maybe you'll prefer that! They had newspapers available to read, the Camra Pub Guide on sale behind the bar and
a collection of Bic pens with which I scribbled these notes. You can't fault pubs that show an interest in trying
to supply the things their customers want! |
