| My son bugged
me for months to take him to The Bumper Castle, as he could see a children's
playground in their beer garden as we drove past. I obliged one sunny Sunday
afternoon and enjoyed a nice pint of Bass as much as the boy enjoyed the
swings and slides. Inside, it was pretty quiet. The bar displayed a tremendous display of key fobs - that's right , key fobs - and there is no doubt that the pub has made an effort to attract families. I seldom see it busy though, despite the fact that it has a local reputation for serving excellent home cooked food. |
