| In a pamphlet I picked up for tourists, this place was down as a Theme Bar. The themes,
then, are sex, insanity and death, but not necessarily in that order. On a Friday and Saturday night, there can
be a queue at the door for this place, but this is because there are usually six bouncers blocking the entrance.
Not that they're expecting trouble or anything. Caught between those heading down Micklegate towards the clubs, and those heading up from town towards the clubs, by the time everyone reaches Edwards they don't know if they're in Old York or New York. And neither do they care. Their bar lunches are good though, and if you want drinks promotions look no further. "Two for One" goes well, as most of the customers see this as "Four for Two". There's probably worse places for a night out. |
