| Under pressure from some new contenders to the Big Posh Wine Bar in York crown (Pitcher and Piano, Bar 38, Bar Ha Ha, Varsity) Harkers are about to fight back. By closing, changing their name and reopening as Browns or something. How can they afford it? Because they're owned by Bass. Actually, I liked it better than the last time I visited because it was clean and quiet, the music jazzy, laid back and low key, allowing you room to talk. The latest trend crowd have moved on to pasteurs regurgitated, leaving a handsome building to carve a niche for itself with quality and style. Perhaps Bass will reconsider. My arse. They're bound to rip it out and start again. | ||
