| Just off the ring road, you'll undoubtably spend a long time staring into this
place as the traffic crawls towards the roundabout causing the delay. I wouldn't recommend this pub/restaurant
unless you have kids, in which case I would wholeheartedly recommend it. Friendly staff, a good playbarn, Sony
Playstations and a bouncy castle are guaranteed to keep them occupied. They also have a climbing frames and slides
outside, where you can sit and sup your beer in the summer, watching the droogs on the ringroad heading for the
Retail Parks (shopping - the opium of the people) and savouring the smell of frying fat from the adjacent Wetherby Whaler.
There are also two other restaurants right next door, Maxi's and The Bengal
Brasserie. Food in the pub itself is average, with that increasingly common
and insane ordering system that means you queue ages for the till, only to get there and discover you've forgotten
your table number - or never noted it. Then annoy everybody else as you go off to find it, and keep them waiting
even longer! |
