| Attractive interior with a relaxed atmosphere invites you stay awhile and read the papers on offer for customers, or buy a copy of the CAMRA guide to York for £2. I know that this is a chain pub, but although I moan about such elsewhere in the guide, I have to admit to liking this place. Plenty of Real Ale on offer (up to eight handpulled), there's also a dartboard, TV and beer garden for your enjoyment. There is a big car park too, which is a plus (providing someone else is driving!) When I visited there was a customer in with their dog, which tried to hump my leg as I passed, and a girl who stood at the bar smoking a cigar. Frankly, I'd have preferred it the other way around. | |
