| Another pub advertising itself as one of York's oldest, so they've tried to bring it up to date by installing a CD jukebox and hosting cheap booze nights almost all week. The pub is a long thin rectangle, only just escaping the feeling you're drinking in a corridor, and low ceilings mean it gets noisy, smokey and hot quite quickly. It's location in the town centre mean many drop in for a quick jar, but usually move on to one of the many pubs in the area. Pity, because this could be one of the best pubs in York, but having been around for four hundred years, I think it's lost the inclination. | ||
