Jim's York Pub Guide |

Once fraternised by York's gay community, you wouldn't really know it, which is how the pub prefers things. The tone is low key and you're unlikely to be offended by either the clientele or the pub itself. They have a pool table, and not many pubs in the centre can say that. It's the place where a white horse once wandered in and asked for a pint. "You know, we have a whiskey named after you", said the barman. "What, Fred?" said the horse. | |
